1.What is DHA?

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid that is found along with eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) in cold-water fish, including tuna and salmon.  Don't confuse DHA with EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). They are both in fish oil, but they are not the same. DHA can be converted into EPA in the body.

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is essential for brain development during pregnancy and early childhood. It is also linked to improved heart health, better vision, and reduced inflammatory response.

2.How DHA Works?

Most animals rarely produce DHA by metabolism. Although α-linolenic acid (ALA) is also an omega-3 fatty acid, the efficiency of ALA conversion to DHA is extremely poor, and ALA cannot be used by humans, so DHA Additional supplements are required.

DHA can be found in cell membranes throughout the body and helps to transmit messages between nerves. The brain is a fatty organ, and between 10% and 20% of its total fats are DHA.
